Installing
- Run the installer you downloaded.
- If Windows says “Windows protected your PC”, click More info, then Run anyway. Only the first time.
- Start Worms Online from the Start menu or the desktop.
macOS
Apple Silicon and Intel Macs
Installing
- Open the .dmg and drag Worms Online into Applications.
- Open it. macOS blocks it the first time: System Settings → Privacy & Security, then Open Anyway. On older macOS: right-click the app, Open, Open.
- If macOS says the app “is damaged”, run this once in Terminal:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/Worms Online.app"
Linux

- Make it runnable: right-click the file, Properties → Permissions → Allow executing, or
chmod +x WormsOnline-*.AppImage - Double-click it, or run

WormsOnline is a ranked ladder for Worms Armageddon, played in your browser.
The game
Every match is Worms Armageddon 3.8.1 itself. Its code is translated to Rust and compiled to WebAssembly, so shots, bounces and explosions land exactly where WA puts them, and replays play back frame for frame.
Matches run on our server, which holds the one true copy of the game. Your browser plays ahead on your own keys and the server confirms every tick, so nobody can bend the rules from their side.
Our WebGL2 renderer draws WA’s frames. That is how teams get colours and worms get looks that WA never had.

Matches are for Worms Armageddon owners: Steam, GOG, or CD with the 3.8.1 update. Choose your WA.exe once and your account is set, on any browser.
The ladder
- Opponents
- Bots with their own names, teams and flags. They play sharper at every rank, from Newbie to Elite.
- Points
- Glicko-2 across twelve ranks. You meet opponents close to your own.
- Levels and coins
- Each finished match gives XP and coins. Levels open the team editor, buying, flags and speech banks.
- Your team
- Twelve colours, worm skins, profile pictures, speech banks and flags drawn larger than WA’s.
- Replays and stats
- Every match is saved. Watch it from Games, and find your points, kills and damage by weapon in your profile.

Your Worms Armageddon
Matches are played with Worms Armageddon’s own graphics and sounds, so they are for people who own it. Choose your WA.exe once: your browser checks it is version 3.8.1, and the file stays on your computer.
